About Becoming Two
Becoming Two started as an idea I had while facilitating an anxiety support group. I saw the pattern of how anxiety held people back from putting themselves out there, causing them to avoid situations that could lead to meaningful connections out of fear.
As I've grown, I've come to realize just how essential human connection is. For the human species, connection is a fundamental part of our existence. We are wired for belonging, for being understood and seen. Moments of true human connection are what make life meaningful. That's why I believe it's so important to create spaces, conversations, and opportunities that gently encourage connection, especially for those who feel anxious, hesitant, or isolated.
Having experienced these challenges myself during my high school and early university years, I understand how challenging it can be, but I also know how important it is to address it. When you begin to navigate anxiety and feel more at ease with yourself, it opens the door to deeper, more fulfilling connections, both romantic and platonic.
I know it’s not easy. The physical and mental effects of anxiety can make you want to retreat, avoid discomfort, and stay in your safe zone. But with time, patience and effort, you can transform how you approach social situations. As you take small steps forward, the more you'll see yourself in a new light, leading to a new sense of confidence that leads to more opportunities for connection.

About Me
Hi, I’m Solane, founder of Becoming Two.
My journey into coaching came from a personal place—wanting to help others navigate the challenges I’ve faced myself. Whether it’s the fear of putting yourself out there, feeling overwhelmed in group settings, or struggling with the physical symptoms of anxiety, I’ve been there. And I know how isolating it can feel.
Alongside my personal experiences, I’ve built a strong foundation of professional knowledge with a B.A. Honours in Psychology. I've worked as a Crisis Responder, using trauma-informed care, active listening, and de-escalation techniques to support people in distress. I’ve also facilitated peer support groups for university students facing anxiety and chronic conditions—creating spaces where they could feel heard, supported, and less alone.

We'll use roleplay, explore conversation starters, and practice ways to feel more at east when presenting your authentic self.

We'll work together to craft a profile that reflects your true self, helping you attract the right connections. Additionally, we can break down some of the more subtle social cues and rules that can be challenging in dating, and I’ll provide clear, actionable strategies for messaging so you can feel confident and comfortable when reaching out to potential matches.
